Old school seafood place with a few updates. I love an old school atmosphere, which this place delivers in spades. The food was good, but not good enough to justify the prices, which have outpaced inflation, to say the least. Our server, Eric, was excellent. The selection and quality of desserts is likely the best redeeming quality of this establishment, bringing it from a 3 to a 4 in my book. I could not finish the slide of German chocolate cake that I ordered & thoroughly enjoyed nibbling on it for the rest of the weekend. Plenty of free parking..

I've been before in the past, had an amazing time with good food. I went recently, and I can't say the same. The oysters aren't what I expected. Food wasn't horrible, but wasn't worth what I paid. I ordered wine, and it came to the table warmer than room temperature. Staff didn't know much about the wine they had on menu. More training would be expected.. I received different orders that were more expensive then what I ordered, however they didn't change for it. I took my family to eat here, and my wife was still inside while I took the kids food to the car. The staff chased my wife out yelling at her saying that no one paid the bill. I was standing there waiting to pay. They just assumed she wasn't going to pay. It embarrassed her, and it truly upset her. It was uncalled for, and unprofessional. That behavior is unacceptable I will not be going back for many reasons..

The waitress was awesome and the food was ok, I had the three combo. The Shrimp we're great but the Chicken Livers and Fish was overcooked. Over all it was a good place to eat. This was our first time eating here.

It was our 1st time and will not be our last. Fabulous server. Pleasant checked in on our dinner. Even though short staffed you would never had known it..
Very clean and good staff. Waitress was friendly and very efficient. We got flounder and shrimp special for Thursday that was priced reasonable. Sweet tea was very good.

My husband has planned to go to Bay Breeze for the past three months for his birthday. He was so excited that y'all were open and offering carry-out. Thank you for serving us a DELICIOUS meal. Stay safe, we will be at the restaurant when y'all open the doors back up!
Sadly what would have been fairly good seafood was ruined by take out servers who have a bad attitude and pay zero attention to detail. On arrival for carry out we asked for a couple of extra tarter sauces which was met by the server acting put out by such an unreasonable request. It’s a good thing we asked though because there was no other tarter sauces included, no cocktail sauce for the shrimp, no dressing for the salads, no butter or sour cream for the potato’s, no ketchup for the fries, no plastic silverware, and of course the coleslaw was missing as well. Basically the kitchen put together the 2 dinners and the front staff simply bagged up the plain food with none of the extras that are traditionally included and expected with seafood dinners. Especially 2 dinners that cost $50 bucks! Mistakes happen of course, but the bad attitude to accompany that mistake just guaranteed that we will not be back.
You can never go wrong with Bay Breeze! There's a special for everyday of the week, the service is always great and you always leave with something to take home for later because they give you so much. I look forward to my next visit already!

My husband and family have been going there for almost 20 years. This coming June will mark how long they have been in business.. Bobbie is the best. She will stop at your table to see how we are doing.. Food is really good. If you haven't been there you really need to!!!!
We liked it. The oysters fried were good. The shrimp were fantastic! The grouper was good. Our servers name was sam and he was awesome. A total delight. Left him 16 on a 50 tab.
Awesome food great service. Top is shrimp scampi and I had the fried platter. My grandmother lives close by bay breeze and always mentions this place whenever she visits and tells me about every meal and how great it is. So after 6 months we finally made it to north Carolina for our family vacation and picked up grandma to take her with us to enjoy as a family and make memories together. And what a wonderful place to go the food was absolutely amazing. And by now my grandmother had to introduce us to everyone there from all her prior visits. Very glad we got the chance to go visit thanks for all the family hospitality. Seen you soon.
Bay Breeze... the best seafood in the region.
We love Bay Breeze and eat there all the time. Their grouper is my favorite. I also love the zucchini fries with the spicy ranch and the shrimp cocktail. Bobby, the manager has been there a long time and treats you like family. If you're visiting the area, dont miss this place. You wont regret it. You will never leave hungry either. Great service, great food.
Best service I’ve ever had!!!! Had Tommy as our waiter with 16 guest. He was timely and kept us laughing the whole time! Felt like family. Will visit every time I’m in the area!
Fried dishes are plentiful and always great! Broiled dishes are “Hit & Miss!” ... Unfortunately, Mostly Miss!! Out of 7 dinners— the 3 broiled were all very dry! Disappointing when you’re expecting and paying for a nice family dinner out. ????
Prices are higher than the seafood restaurant at 191 and I-26. And shrimp and oysters are extra if ordered on a combo. We for the most part have stopped going due to prices. Quality and quantity of food is good.

Great food excellent quality and price. Service is exactly what a restaurant should be. Don't miss out on the daily specials. So much food for the money. Desserts are perfect but will need to carry out servings are huge.

I ordered the grilled chicken. It was very thin and very dry. Would not order again or recommend. Service was very good coffee was good baked potato was good. In all just an average restaurant.
This is a wonderful place to eat seafood, they have all kinds of options with a large dining room as well. The food is absolutely on point and definitely the best seafood place around. Loved the shrimp and hush puppies, I almost ate all of it which was a very large plate for $11. Love this place and always go back every Friday to get my seafood fix!! Amazing loved it

Best Seafood compared to any place in FL or SC... and I've eaten all over FL during the 17 years I lived there. Have been all up and down the Eastern coat of SC, and Bay Breeze surpasses any of those restaurants.
Also, Bay Breeze has way better steaks than any well known steak house chain... they're delicious!!!
Had one of their large sampler platters and honestly it was mediocre. The popcorn shrimp and flounder were good but the clam strips, scallops and oysters had been under the heat lamps for quite awhile. Service was very good and the restaurant was clean and easily accessible.
Absolutely love their food. I feel like they are hands down the best sea food restaurant in the area. The servers are always so friendly. We went with the church and our waitress was amazing. Even though there was a lot of ya she kept her kewl got us everything we needed and more??
Come on! Raise your standards. Do not bother with this place. Lobster trap and the oyster bar get the same 4.5 stars? Bogus. This place will not only short you food when you get to go, but will leave you sitting in the lobby waiting while it gets cold and THEN the manager Bobbi tells you it is indeed YOUR fault that they didn't give you what you paid for because you weren't there within an hour to pick it up. Which is a lie as they told you to sit bc it wasn't ready and does also not excuse the fact that they charged for things not received. Bobbi is unhelpful and completely unapologetic in her failures on running a restaurant...Ive been in the industry and disasters start at the top. Go elsewhere. Surf N Brew in Fletcher is way fresher anyway. This is like canned seafood.

I love going here occasionally. Its an occasional indulgence due to the high fat content but man the popcorn shrimp is awesome. Sunday is popcorn shrimp day at the restaurant. The coating that they use on the shrimp is light and tasty and does not overpower the taste of the shrimp. My wife steers clear of fried and always gets the broiled mahi mahi which she says is cooked perfectly. Go if you like fish.
Great surf and turf restaurant. Lots of options for everyone. Probably the fastest kitchen in town and the service is always great. Strangely enough, they have a spectacular dessert menu that may be the main attraction!
A decent seafood place in the mountains. I didn't find anything on the menu to get excited about, but I was able to find something to order when the group wanted to go there.
Service is just as important as the food to me. I am part of a real estate investment group who meets here monthly. The staff is attentive, courteous and helpful.
Great seafood... I would put Bay Breeze above some of the coastal restaurants I have eaten at, and believe me I have eaten at several. The hand painted wall mural gives you the feeling of being on the coast. If they have it on their dessert list, you "got" to try the Baclava Cake or at least get a slice to take home. Delicious!!!
Great seafood for the mountains. Very impressed. Pricey but you get huge portions. Pretty boring hush puppies - that's something I always look forward to at restaurants. But the fish and shrimp were well done.
Good food and service. BUT... you could get the same exact food from the grocery store for $40 or less. I feel like they need to do a tad bit of renovating. Carpet looks outdated.
Excellent place to eat. The food is outstanding! The waitress that we had was one of the best waitresses I've ever experienced. I'll definitely eat here again the next time I'm in town.
Everything is and was ABSOLUTELY fantastic, the service was above par. The seafood chowder was superb. I ordered the build your own broiled with grouper, shrimp scampi and scallops. It was all great as was our waiter. WE WILL BE BACK!!

Shrimp and grits were delicious. If you're looking for huge amounts of seafood reasonably priced this is the place. If you're looking for Carolina coastal seafood or sustainable seafood this isn't it. Would be really nice to see something other than imported products on the menu.
May have been the best chopped sirloin I've ever had. It's one-pound! Server was very efficient & friendly. Live 45 miles away but will find my way back.
Great food. I got the fried grouper and popcorn shrimp and my wife got the Alex fried seafood platter. It was not greasy at all. We will be back when we are back in the area picking apples again

Basic seafood restaurant with much of the menu being fried. Went in with lukewarm expectations that were exceeded. Fried seafood platter was quite good, batter not overwhelming, and the shrimp were not overcooked. Fish was flaky and moist, cole slaw was good, and the hush puppies (shaped like onion rings) were tasty. Service was very good, too. Kind of a hometown, low key atmosphere
It is a huge resturant and we had excellent service. They give you a large portion and the shrimp was nice and crunchy. The onion rings were good but the French fries were soft. The grouper had good favor but could the outside could have been more crispy. Our waitress was very helpful and we enjoyed her cheerful attitude.
A special treat to get delicious seafood here in Hendersonville. Being in the mountains it is hard to find a place that has well prepared fresh seafood. Both broiled and fried and most seafood you can think of. I've eaten here several times and it's always been spot on. Their steaks and prime rib is good too. Tonight was broiled Scallops, shrimp scampi and flounder. Served also with a salad, a side and hush puppies. All in all it is a lot of food. If you haven't been there go, the staff is attentive and friendly, all in all you want go wrong.
Great seafood. Fried clam strips were tender and golden brown, not hard and overcooked like a lot of places. Portions were more than generous and the prices extremely reasonable. If one is a sweet tea lover, this is the place to go !!
Extremely large portions. I would suggest that a couple share a plate. We always order the broiled platters but I have heard good things about the fried seafood if that's your choice. The prices are very reasonable, especially the broiled... The deserts look great, and they offer a large variety, but I don't imagine they sell many considering the main course portions.
